There’s a storm brewing in the quaint town of Greenleaf, Georgia and Sabine Metzke is about to get caught in the downpour. Sabine thought she’d left the seedy underbelly of humanity behind when she moved from Houston, Texas to the small southern town. Her days of interviewing criminals had been retired. She'd taken her late great-aunts position as staff writer at Dixie Day’s magazine. The all things southern magazine and as a freelance writer for the local paper, The Greenleaf Journal.
Her latest assignment for Dixie Days was to capture the history of Greenleaf and Jaemore county’s moonshine days. One that many citizens, both prominent and not so prominent, shared a common pride and rivalry. Sabine’s lead source for the article was local resident, Edweener Bumpus. Unfortunately for Sabine, Edweener loved the slots in Biloxi and was headed out of town for another spree of all-you-can eat buffet and unlimited watered down cocktails.
In a mad dash to catch Edweener, Sabine will discover more than the commonly known history of moonshine. She will stumble into the middle of Greenleaf’s newest illegal commodity that places both Sabine and her best-friend in danger.
